About Arizona Turf Company

We are not installers, we are not contractors — we are marketers who put you in touch with the right people. If we don’t give you good people, this doesn’t work for anyone.

What Arizona Turf Company is

Arizona Turf Company is a marketing company. We publish information about artificial turf in Arizona and connect homeowners with independent, licensed contractors who do the installation work. We are not a contractor, we do not install turf, and we do not hold an Arizona Registrar of Contractors license. We are paid by the contractors we work with — not by you, and not per lead. The full breakdown of how that works is on our how we work page.

That last sentence in the opening line is the part worth sitting with: a bad referral doesn’t just cost you a bad job, it costs us the relationship with the reader and, eventually, the business. We have every reason to only put a licensed contractor who actually answers the phone in front of you.

Why this site exists

Most artificial turf sites in Arizona are run by a single installer trying to rank their own company, which means the content is written to close a sale, not to answer the question honestly. A page that’s trying to sell you turf isn’t going to tell you the 200°F figure everyone quotes is from a sports field, or that a city government has called turf comparable to asphalt pavement in a rebate policy. We think a reader deciding whether turf makes sense for their yard deserves the real research, including the parts that complicate a quick “yes.” That’s the standard every guide on this site is written to — cited, specific about what’s actually measured versus assumed, and honest about the tradeoffs.

Who’s behind it

Joe Styler is the founder of Wilder West Assets, LLC, which operates Arizona Turf Company. He builds and runs local-service information websites that connect homeowners with licensed contractors. He is not a contractor and does not perform installation work. Arizona Turf Company publishes cost data, product comparisons, and Arizona-specific guidance — municipal rebate programs, HOA approval requirements, and how turf actually performs in Phoenix summer heat — and routes homeowners who want a quote to an independent licensed installer. Contractors pay Arizona Turf Company for that connection, which is disclosed on every page.

Where we operate

Arizona Turf Company is built to serve the greater Phoenix metro area, including Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert. The model is one licensed installer and one turf cleaning company per area, each handling every request for their service — never a batch of competing contractors chasing the same lead. Submit an installation request through this site and a licensed Arizona installer serving your area will follow up.

Verify before you hire

Whoever you’re referred to, don’t take our word for their license. Look them up yourself on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors website before signing anything or paying a deposit. It takes a minute and it’s the best protection you have.
